Orbmark® is an internally meshed gear-type hydraulic motor, based on the excellent processing technologies of NOP®. The advantage of this motor is compactness, high torque and touhghness against dirty environment.

- Overview of NOP® Orbmark® motor

NOP® Orbmark® is a type of hydraulic motor, driven by internal gear and fluid flow. Nippon Oil Pump has a variety of the line up/variation of its motor and also provides many type of accessories like reducer, control valve. All Orbmark® motors are manufactured/assembled/Inspected in NOP® factories in Japan and provides high-quality products to the many customers.
- Overview of high performance motor ORB-S

High performance motor ORB-S series has a built-in taper-roller bearing, having high durability against radial/thrust load.
Its motor is able to receive the high pressure in intake port, and NOP® unique structure of "X-Ring" and "Double-tight processing" prevents troubles by oil-leaking.

- Allowance of back pressure

The allowance of back pressure for ORBMARK® motor is 7MPa, but we recommend to set up drain plumbing to protect sealing if back pressure is more than 1.8MPa.
- Usage of external drain
-
Possible to use external drain for ORBMARK® motor if necessary. After removing the screw in the port to external drain on the top of ORBMARK® unit, connect external drain line. This connection is effective to protect the shaft sealing if back pressure is high.
- Inner leak of oil
-
Even oil flow in the hydraulic motor is stopped, oil may leak from the inner line due to the gravitational force so it might be difficult to stop its rotational power perfectly. In that case, use hydraulic motor with mechanical brake or set up the mechanical stopper.

- Series/Parallel connection of motor

It is doable to use ORBMARK® motor with series or parallel connection like this (Japanese). In that case, do not overload more than operational pressure and set up return pressure with less than 7MPa.
- Recommended hydraulic oil

ISO VG32 type hydraulic oil is highly recommended, contact us if you aim to use other fluid.
- Rotation of ORBMARK® motor

ORBMARK® can be used as positive/reverse rotational motor.

Counter-balance valve is able to drive the hydraulic motor with suitable speed.

- Brake valve

Normally, it is very hard to stop the rotation of hydraulic motor in a very short time because of the inertia force by its rotational power, and it may cause the damage for hydraulic motor by abnormal high pressure. Brake valve is able to prevent from this trouble.
- Counter-balance brake valve

This valve is an integration system of counter-balance valve and brake valve.

- Hydraulic motor with built-in mechanical brake
-
- Hydraulic motor with built-in mechanical brake realizes compactness and high torque. When releasing the pressure in the hydraulic circuit, automatically mechanical brake works and this mechanism enables to brake and stop the rotation of hydraulic motor.
- As long as hydraulic motor stops, mechanical brake always works and keep the position of rotor stay still.
- Use this motor under the condition that mechanical brake is fully opened.
- The accident/trouble comes up if the release of mechanical brake is not enough because of grinding brake disc plate.
- Release pressure for mechanical brake

Brake release pressure (Pilot pressure) is set by the specification of brake torque.
Release pressure is the gap between input pressure and output pressure, use hydraulic motor with higher pressure than pilot pressure.

This is the valve to control the release and stop of mechanical brake in the hydraulic motor.
